South Dakota | If it seems tractor specific I would tend to believe that something on that machine is throwing interference... try routing the cables differently and if you have a spare battery laying around from a car hook the powers/grounds to that so nothing else is on the line (for instance if the alternator is the issue) If that doesnt work, get one of those cig recepticals from Walmart or Radio Shack and run that to the seperate battery also.
