New Zealand | Hi there, I know I'm a long way from you, however being a fellow rural resident I not only highly recommend xero, I decided to become a partner and help others move over to a less restrictive accounting system. You will initially want to throw your computer out the window because learning a new software system basically 'sucks' but your persistence will be rewarded over and over.
Have just had a graphics designer friend in the same boat as you call me last week and she is now in full swing on xero and including her personal accounts to cut out the business/personal monthly reconciliation.
Just go for it! If you would like to buy at a wholesale rate, just let me know - now xero is global it's so much easier having global clients (plus I have family in California and Canada, so have a soft spot!)
