Subject: is norton a good anti virus program?

NC Iowa

guy at staples sold it to me when i got a laptop last year. i 've been getting popup notices that it is about to expire. is this an ok program, or it there better and/or cheaper ones out there? this if for a laptop running windows 7- 64 bit.
