what monitor? what version of software in the monitor? do you have existing data on a datacard or in the monitor that you're using as a starting point, or are you starting completely from scratch?
Chances are the Dry Weight you see is just a hold-over from the previous load, and as soon as you start the new load, it will go to 0 and start counting.
