Subject: RE: CFX-750 wiring again

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Generally speaking the PF3000 would need a null modem in most situations.

I'm not familiar with the above mentioned cable.

My general rule of thumb is that if the cable has the proper sex to mate with the Ag Leader products, then it should be OK. If the cable has the opposite sex then a null modem gender changer is needed.

In your case one end will be the Deutsch connector for the 750 and the other end would need to be a male 9 pin to go into the PF3000. If the Trimble cable has a 9 pin male, then I believe it would work. If the Trimble cable has a 9 pin female, then a null modem gender changer is needed.

This situation would be the same for any Ag Leader product (YM2000, PF3000, Insight, Edge, Integra) that uses a 9 pin connector.

It is certainly possible to do what you are trying to do. I made my own cable from my CFX-750 to do various things. My homemade cable has radar speed out that I can use with a Raven 450, a relay for a Coverage map, a Video connector for an Cab Cam camera and a GPS connection for my Insight. This all works properly.
