In some combines, the same type of sensor is used elsewhere. If so you might try swapping the clean grain elevator speed sensor with another to see if this helps.
I remember one red combine that had the problem that you have. The combine's monitoring system didn't complain but the Ag Leader showed erratic elevator speed. A new sensor took care of the problem.
