Cedar Rapids, Iowa | When you are close to a tree line, the issue is with not having enough satellites visible. The only way to fix that is to have a receiver that can see more satellites, which means Glonass support.
OmniStar XP/HP will get you a much more stable position when out in the the open field, but on GPS only, you'll still have some drift along the tree lines due to the visibility issue. OmniStar XP is available with Glonass data, known as OmniStar G2. I'm not sure if the Trimble 750 and 1000 support G2 or not.
Also, the 250 is sold with two different antenna options. One is better than the other. | |
