| Right - I understand where you guys are coming from. But the worst thing these mobile manufacturers can do is keep supporting flash. Apple has never been bashful about dumping something that most of the world still thinks is a necessity. If Android, Win Phone, WebOS, and any other mobile OS out there would simply refuse to support it, these sites would knock one another over trying to switch to HTML5 - and everyone would be the better for it. Apple is doing what is right - trying to get rid of a lousy platform. Fortunately, they are big enough in mobile web traffic that they are able to drive this trend. I tend to think it is somewhat funny that they take jabs for not supporting it - when they are driving the trend toward making a better web experience for even those that criticize them for not supporting flash. | |
