Humeston, IA | The external logging feature was due to the need to log yield data to a device that also recorded GPS data. This was before both data sources were combined on the memory card. Don Larson's brick computer and the Rockwell Vision system both used the external serial output from the YM2000. The main issue with using data from this source is not being able to post-calibrate the yield data using the same routines as in the monitor. Good, bad, or ugly, that's the data you get from the external output. If it is logged to the card you can at least post-calibrate the yield, moisture, distance, etc. | |
