Brisbane, Australia
What, is the tooth fairy alive and well over there too?

I have always seen that when it comes to politics, common sense RARELY, if ever, prevails - monetary greed, power and influence for personal/business profit at the expense of the quiet, unassuming and at most times compliant majority seems to win most of the time.

Maybe the whole agriculture sector should just simply withhold produce (grain, milk, fruit and vegetables etc) for a month and see what attention the media gives the debate then - you might very well need public opinion to swing against the legislators who support this lunacy to get them to change their views if the man in the street thinks his supply of food is going to be threatened. Maybe the general public doesn't even know or care about this debate - but I'm sure they will if they find out it will affect them directly!
