| You are correct - and I should have worded that differently. Later in that post I did state that there have been tablets on the market for around the last 10 yrs that run full-fledged desktop OS's - but these were pretty much market failures. What I should have said is that none of the modern tablets that are selling in any numbers to mainstream users run full desktop OS's.
This is precisely why Mr. Softy is working to make Win 8 work on either platform. It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off with the tablets still having decent battery life or not getting bogged down with comparatively low powered processors compared to desktops/laptops. | |
