There is basic, basic with bells and whistles, and upgradeable basic. I don't know the Raven, but I have experience with the S-Lite. For under $1000 it does what you need. But it is working pretty much to its capabilities. If you want to be able to add more capabilities to your GPS unit in the future you will have to spend more up front.I personally chose to go cheap to start with, figuring by the time I wanted to get fancier prices would either be lower or else equipment would improve to the point I would get more bang for my buck. |
