Subject: Raven Accuboom on John Deere 4720 , so far a frustrating setup

Mount Joy, PA

With all other accuboom kits I seen the boom swicthes need to be on in order for it to spray , with the 4720 kit the boom switches need to be in the off position.

Therfore you cannot just flip off certain sections indepentant of the rest. Its either all 90 ft or none at all by turning off the master switch.

Well , actually you can by going into the accuboom setup and de selecting the boom section you dont want to control . A very time consuming process when trying to spray. After confirming with Raven that this is the way it is expected to function, I am looking for a solution around the way this kit works.

Whats the reason this machine kit is so different from the rest ? Can I modify the accuboom cable to have shut off functionallity ?
An E-Pro is controlling the Accu-Boom and Smatrax, The JD brown box still does product control. Could it be done differently if we had a boom sense node tied into the system ? Or is this the best it gets? Thanks, Ed
