Frank, where you able to get your monitors repaired? I just repaired a 5001 monitor myself, it seems to be working well. Turns out the monitor has a 12V isolating power block that also outputs a regulated 5V that had failed. I removed it, scrapped the isolation bit and just fed the 12V back into the monitor and put in a little 5V regulator.
