Oklahoma Panhandle | Light Squared is a "darling" of the Obama machine so they may get a pass. Not all the receivers on the market are affected the same way. We operate one of 4 warranty sales and service centers in the USA for the biggest player in the Ag Air industry and try to stay on top of these issues. We are very concerned about the Light Squared using the "L" band for broad band network. Being a commeerical pilot I have a lot of contact with other guys in the business and there have been some reports of the Garmin 1000 suite and other avionics being problematic when near the xmtrs . Hopefully the FCC will quit playing politics and get back to business. Bottom line is MONEY! That is the "Chicago Way" | |
