WNW Illinois, Henry Co
OK I am sure a bunch of you have the tru counts on 1250's but mine are the Meter Mount type. Here is my situation. after only 400 acres on a 24 row, the clutches on 4 different rows started to slip after a shut off situation, (waterway or end) so I went home, got the silicone spray cleaner that came with the kits. Had trouble with the rows on several occasions for the next 80 acres, row 24 was the worst. Went on from there, did another 2000 acres without any problems, except maybe one clutch acting up just for a second at a startup.

So we got done, cleaning up planter for next year, taking all cluthes apart and they are just filthy dirty inside, on the back side, and in the seal area.

Now here is the question, is this much dirt common, or is there some other possible culprit here. I am wondering if the vacuum is drawing more air behind the trucounts than is normal on the shaft mounts.

Looking for ideas.
