Selma, Alabama | When I sit still and calibrate my spreader constant on Self Test, I can get the auger to speed up and to slow down, achieving the desired number for my calibration. The machine is a Montag standard-output. I am running my ground speed at 6.5 - 7.0 mph looking for an output of 300 lb per acre of product at a width of 320 inches on my Boom Cal. I am getting very good air throught the fan system. The hydraulic motor turnung the auger seems to be responding well, increasing and decreasing hydraulic flow. For calibrating purposes, I am using Self Test speed of 5.0 mph, bulk density of 62 and a rate per acre of 250 pounds. for my 40" rows I am using a RPM of 80 per minute on the auger shaft to get my spreader constant figure. | |
