I don't think SF1 will ever be reliable enough for planting. SF2 should be much more stable. Not saying you won't get lucky and get by with SF1 but "here" I just can't count on it. Reliability and stability are different than accuracy. If SF1 is having a good day it can be accurate enough if all of your equipment matches-12 row planter and 12 row or 6 row cornhead etc.
