ECIN | I'm trying to get a backpack set up with a Trimble 442 GNSS/RTK receiver and an iPAQ 4700 running Farmworks Mobile 2011 to walk some tile lines while they are visible here. The 442 has the 3-way adapter plugged into the 26-pin connector (pictured). This is then cabled to the Otterbox/iPAQ with Trimble's 9-pin serial cable. FW says that it only needs GGA and VTG messages @ 1-5 hz to work, but with my settings, I cannot get it to recognize any GPS.
Could someone please advise on the correct settings for the 442 in order to get this setup working? Thanks!!
