Subject: Help writing a Formula

NW iowa
I would like to use a scanner to track the in and out movements of product to a customer using Excel I already have the scanner inputting into Excel. The Customer may get say 10 items of the same thing with the same bar code. I would scan each one of those items. I would like excel to end up with 1 Row with the bar code and a quantity of 10 and then I can type the name behind only 1 time rather than getting the same 10 rows of the same bar code. Pivot tabels will not work for this application. The procedure would go like this. I scan the bar code in A1 and A2 gets the automatic count of 1 and it drops to B1. I scan the same bar code and excel would see that they are the same. The change the count in A2 to 2 and I would end up in B1 and B1 would be blank. Thanks in Advance for any help.
