Depends on the size of the UPS. I have a fairly large UPS on this computer because I had a desktop and wanted enough runtime to shut down the desktop. Now with a portable instead of the desktop, I can run the modem, 37" TV (as 2nd monitor) and portable for a long time (1 hr or more). The power supply is 14" tall and 4" thick. It was bought for a totally different setup.
