We have a few steel cylinder stops around the farm. Most are painted green but I don't know where they came from. They've been here long as I can remember. Not much help I know. But to answer your question yes there are steel ones out there.

Also check with Deere. A little research on the web says they have them for their older mid 1980's disks. Maybe thats where ours came from.
