Rebooting didn't do it. But after running the eset search I rebooted, uninstalled MSE, then downloaded a new copy of MSE, updated the definitions, and ran it. It was happy, the computer's happy, my wife is happy because I'm not talking to the computer in hateful tones, I guess I'm reasonably happy.
