N FLA | We have been working on a series of farm videos, and I am struggling with the files. The original files are MP4. A coworker used virtualdub and turned them into AVI files. I could not open them in Win Media Player, but downloaded the K-Lite codec pack, and now can open them with WMP. I cannot import them into Windows Movie Maker. Getting the "codec required is not installed on your computer" error. I dont know what else to try for the right codec. The chat boards and forums I can find suggests K-Lite (i used the standard version) would have it.
I would also like to put them in a powerpoint presentation, and i can install them, but they play audio only. I guess because of the missing codec.
Does anyone have a suggestion what codec i might try or codec pack, or how to figure it out?
