| My suggestion- Go into WalMart or Best Buy,where they have demo tv's running side by side and compare the same picture on a 60 vs 120. I have a 20 inch running at 60, and a 42 inch running at 120.(bothHD) The 42 inch mostly serves as a monitor for my computer- that shows you where my priorities are! both cost about the same only 2 years apart. They are sitting side by side. When I run the same program, or even a blue ray DVD on them at the same time, I really can't see a difference. The salesman is probably working on commission, so I seriously doubt that he has your best interests in mind. In my mind, electronics salesmen are the new used car salesmen.
I'm an audiophile- I can tell the difference between music played on a turntable vs a CD or a mp3. I have come to the realization, that for most people, they can't tell the difference and just enjoy the music. I quit worrying about it years ago.
Good luck making a decision, and remember, you are the ultimate judge of what you like. |
