I am currently on Alltel and will be going to AT&T in next few months. My HTC hero is perfectly ok and will be only 6 or so months old. I thought it would be still be great to use as a ipod or such for my daughter since it gets wifi. I am concerned about the phone feature and the possibility of her or someone else dialing 911 on it.. Can I root the phone or something and erase the phone part?
