Adobe is great, but you don't need it. Just download cute pdf writer and use it- it's free (I give it 2 thumbs up). Download Cute, scan your item, choose Cute as your printer and print- you now have a pdf. It's not 'Adobe' PDF, but PDF nonetheless...
