ALWAYS.  I would run Malwarebytes  then run Ad-Aware (CHECK THE SPELLING!  There is an imposter with only one letter different) then a good anti-virus.

I loaned the mini I am typing on to someone whose laptop died.  Somehow she turned off the anti-virus. Talk about crap happening!
