beiswanger - 11/30/2010 07:54 Do you think I would be causing myself more grief than benefits by switching? :) I've never been one to try trendy things just to be trendy; it has to be practical AND save time to make the cut here, so your input is very valuable! Thanks! The problem that everyone has with Windows is that: 1. Windows machines are much more likely to become infected with a virus and 2. Sometimes the easiest way to get a Windows machine working right again is to just re-format and re-install Windows which is a hassle. When you buy an Apple computer and install Microsoft Windows on it, will you truly get away from those two problems? My guess is that it entirely depends upon how often you use Windows on your Apple computer. If you spend the majority of your time in the Windows environment because of the software that you need to use, it will probably feel very much the same (or possibly worse if you use Parallels instead of bootcamp). If you truly spend most of your time in OS X (I assume that's what's current) and only use Windows on rare occasions, I suspect you'll find some benefits. |
