Subject: RE: Continental Tractor Tires, any good?

I have 2 seasons on a pair of Continental 30.5R32 tires on my combine showing only minimal stubble damage. I've got 1 season on Mitas (Continental sister line)18.4x26 on the rear that still look like new. I was in the tire shop several weeks ago getting tractor tires when a farmer brought in a 30.5R32 Firestone combine tire with lots of tread left that he said was ruined by stubble damage. Maybe the trip from the Czech Republic allows the Continentals to cure a little more. Two years ago the Continentals were the cheapest radials but each time I've priced them since for different applications they've been almost as much as Firestones.
