Western CO | All the e-reader software is available on the iPad (and Macs, PC's, BB's, Androids, etc.) so choosing a Kindle because amazon has lots of books available wouldn't be the best IMHO. The software is free on all the other platforms and then you can choose which store you buy books from. I haven't picked up a Kindle in a long time but the last time I did I would say it's ok but not nearly as nice to use as an iPad. My wife is an avid reader and she buys books from Amazon and Apple and loves the iPad. Mostly she uses it for reading but it is her sole email appliance at home, she has a couple games on it and uses the browser a fair amount as well. I would say if you need or can use all of those things the iPad would be a pretty good choice. They also have incredible battery life. | |
