| There are DVD rippers out there that you can rip movies that you own and transfer them to the iPad too. iTunes also has a 99 cent movie of the week rental deal - but I have found that selection to be rather old. You have 30 days to start watching a rental and once you start, 2 days to finish it. After that, the movie disappears.
You can also put all your digital music on the iPad as well - if they get tired of watching movies, they can listen to music. Or ebooks. Lots of neat things to do with these devices.
As for Black Friday - Apple usually runs specials on that day, but they are nothing spectacular. I have never seen stores like Best Buy run any specials on B.F. that are any better than directly from Apple.com. | |
