Wic and Artsway both make a 12 row 22 digger. There are a couple custom built 12-30 machines, but they only work where it's really flat. Since there is no flex like on planter units or cultivators, it has to be level enough for all the puller wheels to dig evenly. Around my area a 8-30 would be about the limit. On the older design 690 even now digging 4 once in a while we hit a spot where the outside wheel holds the machine up too much on one side because it's so far outside on the right. On the newer 6812 and wic machines the tires are in farther so you could get away with 8 probably here.

Same with corn heads actually, 8 is about the limit here, and I have had times with a 6 row in short corn when the one side of the head is on the ground and the other is barely catching the ears. A 12 would be nice but wouldn't work on all fields here unless the corn was always tall and standing perfectly.
