Subject: RE: Winterizing combine

Manitoba, Canada
Does anyone leave batteries in and just hook up an automatic battery charger and leave it on. I've never done it but always wondered if it would monitor the battery good enough and recharge only when necessary. I've also had the idea, (probably not a good one though) of cutting the ends off of some cheap extension cords and putting alligator clips on and connecting batteries from several pieces of equipment in parallel and then connecting just one trickle charger to them all. I'm sure there is a good reason not to do this so I never tried yet. Any reasons why this is a stupid idea ;)
