Newfane NY | Harvesting corn crop number 6 from Leon Bird. Leon was the first person to get me a 200 bpa field average. I know he will give me my first 300 bpa field as this year my top field was 287 bpa.
3200 acres of 1st choice corn this year and we will be very close to 200 bpa whole farm average.
I was introduced to Leon Bird by Ed Winkle on the "other site" when I asked for help in finding a new supplier for my seed corn. I was a P grower for about 15 years and after 3 years of flat corn and 3 years of P saying "its just the year" I needed a change.
I know Ed and Leon's desire is to find ways to make the farmer more money.
