plenty of rations now which use NO corn. ( just ddg's, gluten, seep, and roughage )

Just seems like the packer owned and formula lots Need those big cattle wighing 850 to 1,000 and really pay up for em.

Maybe a decent least background ration is say cornstalks/syrup/some gluten.

And there's always the grazing option...say winter out on stalks/stubble and supp em with ddg's / gluten / some hay.

Buy a few short solid mouth spring bred lead cows, put a few of those with each bunch of calves, cows will show those calves where the best eating is etc.
