"This device is working properly"

Thanks for help on using Device Mgr. I found both drives & they both indicate "....working properly...", which they're not. I tried the "troubleshoot" prompts of Win & it comes up to something called SCSI...or something like that. Not sure what to do w/that info.

Thanks for help thus far. Yes, an easy alternative would be external drive. But, I hate to have 1/2 my computer filled w/stuff not working. Or worse yet for me, I'd like to know WHY it doesn't work.
