Subject: won't boot from new drive

East central Iowa

Used Acronis to clone the drive.  It put C on the new drive as G and the hidden D drive as F.  I then used the WD program to clone the drive and it did the same thing.  I used Disk Management to switch F to G and G to F but I can't make F which will be C a Primary partition, it remains a logical drive.  I can't see a way to change that.

I've cloned a lot of drives and never had this problem before.  It's an XP system on another HP computer.  When I disconnect the cable from the old C drive and put it on the new drive it will not boot.  All the files are there and the computer see's the drive, until I disconnect the original drive then it doesn't see the new drive.
