bwire - 8/9/2010 07:49 Whoa up there! All USB external drives are FAT32 and you should leave it be this isn't the problem. All USB drives are formatted as FAT32 to maintain maximum backwards compatibility. The first thing I have to do if I'm using one as a backup drive is format it to NTFS so that I don't run into the same problem Ron is running into. 12gb files are kind of big, no? Check the link I put in the other reply if you're not sure about the limitations of FAT32 partitions. Just so you know, Ron is very comfortable with video. I can't quite figure out how he can get work done with the amount of videotaping he does. Must be all the good help he has!
