SW Ohio | I was cleaning a small tank this spring and dropped an iPhone 3G into about 4 inches of herbicide and water. I rinsed it and put it into a bag of rice so that it was completely covered on all sides. Later that night my wife heard it ringing. I got it out and called back. I was able to complete the call but not satisfied with some functions so back into the rice. Next day all was well except a speaker that is evidently used for internet and movie sound didn't work. But the iPhone works fine now. And that was with a badly cracked screen.
