| 127.0.0.1 is actually an IP address of your own network card. Any computer with a network card in it has that IP address assigned to it....along with whatever IP address you may use.
IIRC, it is essentially a loopback on the network card....a default setting. Even if you change that proxy setting, you could still open a command window and ping that IP address and get a return since it is coming from your own card.
BUT, your comment was on your proxy settings being changed to that IP address, which is a problem. Not sure what would cause it. | |
