roaming | It sounds like the system is going into standby and logging off the user. This is different from just turning off the monitor.
I'm not sure what would cause the system to log off the user automatically. Usually when the system wakes up from Standby, everything is as it was before entering Standby.
Start here: Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power Options, and check your Power Schemes. There will be a way to set System Standby = Never, which will prevent the system from ever going into Standby mode. Or you can just lengthen the interval until the system goes into Standby.
