I'm doing a 30-day trial with a Verizon Palm Pre Plus that includes the WIFI hotspot feature, meaning that the phone becomes a mobile wireless connecting point to the internet for up to 5 devices sharing the signal.

I haven't had a chance to play with the thing outside of my office, but my son took it to a family reunion in west Louisiana and used it to connect both his notebook and his iPhone when he couldn't get a signal through AT&T.

I really like the way it consolidates email, calendars and contacts across multiple services (AT&T, Yahoo, etc.). The gesture-based OS is slick, too.

Anybody else gotten one of these yet? Curious about what you're finding. I'll have to dump my iPhone and AT&T service if I keep it. The contract ran out a while back. I've never really bonded with the iPhone.
