| Yes, all Mac laptops (as far as I know) have sensors in them that detect movement. The idea is that they can sense if they are dropped or knocked off a desk, lap, etc and they lock the hard drive read/write arm in the home position, back away from the disk to prevent damage to the platters before it hits the floor. People with programming knowledge can utilize those sensors for other things. Best idea I have seen is a utility that senses ANY motion and snaps a pic with the built in camera and quickly uploads it to the net - and does this with no knowledge of the person moving the computer. This is a way to get a snapshot of the perp stealing the computer. I believe that app could even be set up to disable itself whenever the user came within range with his/her bluetooth cell phone and re-enabled itself when the user walked away from it.
