Triplett / Brunswick MO / Brookfield | I have two 5.4's in 1/2 ton supercrews. One is an 04 and one is an 08; both are rated at 300 HP. The difference in the power between the two pickups is unreal. The 08 will walk away from the 04. Driving 60 mph and anticipating stops and bringing it up to speed slow, I've got 20 mpg many times with the 08. Of course this was country driving without a lot of big hills. Driving the 04 the same way. will result in 1 1/2 to 2 mpg less. Neither of these pickps pull much, but I once had 13,700 lbs behind the 08 for 100 miles. It pulled it all right, but for sure not like my 7.3 diesel.
As for the Hemi, I have no experience with it. |
