NSW, Australia | Wireless driver does not cost anything to replace. if its a dell goto support.dell.com. Somewhere in there you can put your service tag in (found on underside of computer). Then find the latest wireless driver for laptop.
However if the "hardwire" doesnt work in your laptop either it may be something else. As philbert suggests try the ipconfig release/renew. if doesnt work try ipconfig /all. report results. Also check in start->control panel->network connections. Right click-> properties. Under the general tab there should be "this connection uses the following items". select tcp/ip then properties. under general tab, make sure "obtain ip address automatically", under alt. config. "automatic private IP". (provided that DHCP is enabled in router, this is usually the case). | |
