They claim it will help a lot.
The thing is with all digital carriers it's more or less on or off - you don't get much between like analogue used to be.
Part of the benefit is you put your receive antenna up high to get the best signal possible to start with.
If you can just about get it to work in favored locations without the booster you have a good chance of it working well.
