| You might want to reboot, then try a scan. If it does it again, then it suggests the Ad-Aware software is flawed and has a memory leak. When running Ad-Aware, the flaw allows your memory to fill up slowing your machine because it is swapping from memory to your hard drive.
In my opinion, I wouldn't run Ad-Aware. I had experience with it a few years ago and found it incredibly irritating since whenever I logged on to a PC, the Ad-Aware stuff came up and took several clicks to close it out. I didn't see much benefit to it's use given the features available in various browsers or other software available. | |
