| Not sure what to suggest about the DVD's not working. Are you sure your DVD drive will write to DVD-R's? Check the specs for your drive and see what DVD's are compatible.
As for getting footage off of one DVD to put on another, you might have to find DVD ripper software. There are programs out there that will "rip" a DVD and turn the video into a VCD (video CD) format....which allows you to burn to a regular CD. You can play VCD's in many computers, but DVD players have to have the capability to play a VCD for them to work. Not all DVD players will play VCD. | |
