St.Clair Co. IL. | We used to call that picnic chicken!! When we were young after the farm work was done in the summer we would go for a picnic and swimming on sunday afternoon, mom would fry up a batch of chicken and then line a big pot with newspaper(guess to suck up the grease) put the hot chicken in it, cover it and let it steam, then we would go to the park swim and then have steamed fried chicken for lunch, not crispy by any means but sure was good!!
